Help for Using our Site

Welcome to RentOkanagan. If you are a rental property owner or the owner of a rental service business in the Okanagan Valley BC, you may want to list your product, property, service on our site. If you are someone looking for a place to rent or you need to rent some sports equipment or tools, then you may find it here.

Navigation Methods

Navigation through our site is by buttons and a jump menu. The Jump Menu is negotiated by choosing your rental category and then the rental type. Once you have made your choices, the page will automatically refresh to that category and type of listings. From there just click on the picture or the "more info" link to see details of that listing including contact information.

Search Feature

Our site includes a search feature for the main categories which allows you to search by category, rental type, city and/or listing price. You can adjust the Results/Page field to show more results or less and to give a summary page or a details page.

The Search feature can be reached at any time by clicking on the "Advanced Search" button or by clicking on the "New Search" link next to the jump menu on the top of every page.

Rental Listing Details

Our detail pages for each listing have many extra features which you may find useful.

1	Clicking on the red "m" will bring up a new window on the MapQuest site which can show you the location of the listing if there was a full address given.
2	Clicking on the "printer" icon will bring up a printable page complete with photos and all detail info. You can choose your best layout.
3	The people icon allows you to send the listing to a friend who may be interested.
4	As you browse our site you can add your favorites to a "quicklist", when you are finished looking at all the ads, bring up your quicklist and take a closer look to narrow down your choices.
5	Most listings come with several photos, as you mouse over the small thumbnails, the larger picture will change to a detail version of the thumbnail.

The Rental Directory

The Rental Directory is a separate section of our site featuring links to businesses and rental services which don't fit the other categories. Simply browse through the categories to view the listings which include a descripton and link to the website. To add your free listing, find the appropriate category and click on the "add link". Only Okanagan businesses will be added.
